If you’re looking for a more glamorous place for your lunch or dinner Kanteen 25 is a great choice. Located in a historic building that once served as a gathering place for naval officers, it now offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone to enjoy a meal together.
As you step in, you are immediately surprised by the magnificent chandelier set the mood just perfectly. The next thing that caught my eye was the open kitchen. You can have a peak at the chefs in action, preparing their dishes with care. I always find this adds a special touch.
The dishes are prepared with great care and fresh local ingredients. You will find a wide selection of meat and seafood dishes, that you can pair with a nice bottle of wine or a cocktail. If you are stopping by just for drinks and snacks, you will find a great selection of traditional dutch snacks like cheese board, kaastengels and even oysters!
When the weather is good you enjoy your meal on the terrace, it’s also perfect for biger groups. From the terrace you can enjoy relaxing views of the water, NEMO Science Museum, and the National Maritime Museum.
